No update from the employer after job offer.

Dear community,

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I am in a frustrating situation. I received a job offer from [company name removed by admin] for their graduate programme a few weeks ago (thanks to UK Visa Jobs, btw. You guys are doing a fantastic job). However, the employer has completely ghosted me after I accepted the job offer. Their immigration team reached out to me asking a few questions about my visa situation, requested a copy of my passport and then nothing afterwards. I tried sending them emails a few times, but no update. Has anyone been in the same boat? Not sure what to do as my graduate visa is expiring soon.

Hi Derek, Thanks for sharing your experience. First of all, congratulations on your job offer, and we are glad that UK Visa Jobs has been helpful for your job applications. This is the right place to post to share experiences and ideas. However, we have removed the company name for anonymity. The situation you shared is not uncommon, especially at this time, as many people are on holiday and communication can get significantly slower. Please bear in mind that a skilled worker visa application can only be submitted 3 months before your official employment start date. If you are starting next year in September, the employer often will contact you again in April/May with further information on how to approach visa applications, as you cannot submit your application before June. Also, the company hires hundreds of new grads, and the onboarding team can get a significant workload, so they often prioritise urgent cases. So, do not panic. They will get back to you soon. The best you can do is wait until the New Year and nudge them again. Regards UK Visa Jobs Admin

Thank you so much for your reply. I am here to post an update. I received a confirmation a week ago that my graduate visa expiring will not impact my application. They said they would submit an out of country application for me, so I came back to my home country. Their immigration team confirmed they would submit my visa application 3 months before the start date, as you rightly mentioned. I am thrilled tbh and just waiting for their update regarding next steps.
